Job Summary:

HR GO Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Customs Clearance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless customs clearance for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and complete customs entries using CDS, with a focus on deep sea ocean freight clearance and European road freight clearances.
  • Navigate HMRC online tariffs and customs commodity codes and procedures.
  • Utilize FTA knowledge, including origin and preference, to ensure accurate customs clearance.
  • Experience with CNS & Destin8 system is highly desirable.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors to obtain and provide required information for customs clearance.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC guidelines and regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Work collaboratively with the logistics team to ensure efficient customs clearance processes.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of at least 2 years working in a small to medium-sized freight forwarder.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Excellent maths and English skills.
  • HMRC Customs Clearance essential.
