About the Role

Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded secondary school in South Essex. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teachers to create engaging and interactive learning experiences for students with SEN.
  • Advocate for students with SEN, providing customized support to help them achieve their learning objectives.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Support the implementation of educational strategies tailored to each child's learning needs.
  • Provide feedback to children, parents, and caregivers about their progress, achievements, and any concerns as directed by the teaching team.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with SEN students in a school setting.
  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one through Randstad Education (mandatory).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Demonstration of patience, passion, and professionalism.
  • Ability to manage children with challenging behavior.
  • Confidence, punctuality, and eagerness.
