Care Home Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Care Home Manager to lead the daily operations of a 42-bed care home in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.

Job Summary:

As a Care Home Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily home operations, managing staff, and developing strategies to maintain high-quality care. Your primary focus will be on providing support for elderly people with various needs, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily home operations, ensuring seamless management of staff, resources, and services.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, prioritizing resident satisfaction and well-being.
  • Manage finances to meet targets, maximizing revenue and minimizing costs.
  • Maintain full occupancy, promoting the care home as a premier choice for elderly care.
  • Recruit, retain, train, and induct staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Manage risks to ensure a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a valid PIN (desirable but not essential).
  • Knowledge of all relevant Standards and NMC code of practice.
  • Proven track record of person-centred care planning.
  • Experience as a leader and mentor, inspiring and guiding teams to achieve excellence.
  • Passion for delivering high standards of care, prioritizing resident satisfaction and well-being.
