Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Support Worker to join our team at Ards Community Supported Living in Newtownards. The successful candidate will provide support to adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues, or acquired brain injuries, enabling them to maintain their independence and participate in community activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to individuals in their own homes
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as medication management and meal preparation
  • Accompany individuals to appointments and social events
  • Encourage and promote independence and autonomy

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in a care or support setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic IT skills and knowledge of software packages used in care settings

Salary and Benefits

This is a full-time position (39 hours per week) with a salary of £24,133 per annum. You will also receive comprehensive training, opportunities for career progression, and access to our employee benefits package, including pension scheme and annual leave.
