Facilities Management Role in Blackburn

An exciting opportunity has become available for a skilled Facilities Manager to join a Secondary educational institution in Blackburn. This position focuses on the upkeep of the school facilities and the implementation of security protocols effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing security measures for school buildings and surrounding areas
  • Managing the opening and closing of school facilities
  • Regularly inspecting alarms and fire safety equipment
  • Coordinating with emergency services when necessary
  • Documenting incidents of theft or vandalism
  • Carrying out general maintenance duties, including litter collection and cleaning throughout the premises

Applicants should possess previous experience in a Facilities Management or Maintenance position, preferably within an educational setting. The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

The successful candidate must have an Enhanced DBS check or be prepared to obtain one. This is a temporary role initially, with the potential for a permanent position for the right individual.
