A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Estimator Leader to provide key leadership for an estimating team within a successful civil engineering business based in the Leeds area. The company works across a range of civils sectors both regionally and nationally, on small to medium sized projects. They are therefore looking for a versatile and adaptable individual who has a strong background within the civil engineering industry.

The role would suit those who have already managed a small estimating team or those wishing to step up in their career with more responsibility and leadership exposure. The position's key responsibilities will be:

  1. To lead the estimating process and production of estimates for the business.
  2. Drive continuous improvement and innovation throughout the tender process.
  3. Lead and promote a client-focused culture throughout the estimating function.
  4. Lead, manage, and develop the estimators to deliver winning tenders.

Therefore, those candidates who fit the following criteria would be encouraged to apply:

  1. Have a proven track record as a tender winning estimator with a good level of experience within the civil engineering industry.
  2. Either have previous experience in a similar role or looking for the next step in their career to lead a small estimating team.
  3. Be a strong communicator at all levels, and comfortable with client-facing situations.
  4. Ability to work autonomously when needed and have a high level of personal drive.
  5. Hold a good level of IT proficiency.
  6. Full UK driving licence.
