Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SEN tutor to provide support in areas such as Dartford, Edenbridge and Tonbridge.

About Bright Heart Education:

Bright Heart Education is an award-winning tuition agency with a heart-based approach to teaching students with special educational needs (SEN). We offer a nurturing environment that builds trust, self-esteem and self-belief in our students.

The Role:

This part-time role involves providing one-to-one tuition to students with SEN. As a tutor, you will work as a self-employed individual, commuting to locations in Kent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality tuition to students with SEN
  • Work closely with parents and teachers to understand student needs

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 12 months of relevant tutoring experience in the UK
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong subject knowledge in their tuition subject(s)
  • University qualification or studying towards one and A-levels
  • Passion for teaching and their tuition subject(s)
  • SEN tuition/teaching experience and a passion for working with students with SEN

Salary: £25 per hour, estimated total salary per year based on this rate is approximately £31,200.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication skills, patience, and a passion for teaching and learning. You will need to be able to adapt to different learning styles and abilities, and be comfortable working independently.
