Maintenance Operations Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will provide site-based engineering support to ensure the uptime and availability of our automated equipment. With a focus on preventative and corrective maintenance, you will utilize your technical expertise to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
Responsibilities- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on all onsite automated equipment.
- Conduct planned repairs and reactive repairs of automated material handling equipment.
- Perform fault-finding and diagnosis of mechanical and/or electrical faults.
- Respond to automation faults and breakdowns in a timely manner to ensure minimal downtime.
- Prioritize system faults and optimize uptime and availability of onsite automated equipment.
- Complete all reports in line with requirements using CMMS and Microsoft software packages.
- Comply with health and safety legislation as a top priority.
- Participate in the delivery, installation, commissioning, and testing of upgrades and enhancements.
- Maintain optimum levels of onsite spare parts.
- Support site meetings as required.
- Mentor, train, and advise junior members of the team.
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Experience of working with automated material handling systems.
- Ability to work at height.
- Capable of understanding Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Electronic technical manuals and drawings.
- Proven competence in H&S.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of control systems and techniques.
- Ability to work in a time-critical environment.
- Effective time and workload management skills.
- PC literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
