Job Summary

We're seeking a Supervisor to join our team in Glasgow. As a Supervisor at Belstaff, you'll spend most of your time on the shop floor, working with your team to drive sales by offering exceptional customer service. You'll be a role model, supporting team training and development to achieve a high level of service across the store, maintaining excellent store standards, and consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Anticipate and exceed customer needs, demonstrating a customer-centric approach at all times.
  • Deliver training to the team, empowering them to share stories about our brand, products, and services.
  • Host regular team meetings, fostering communication between the team, store management, other Belstaff stores, and Head Office.
  • Motivate the team, maintaining a dynamic and positive atmosphere.
  • Stay up-to-date on local events, current affairs, and business updates, cascading this information to the team to promote meaningful conversations with clients.
  • Drive individual and store targets, understanding and responding to key store KPIs.
  • Demonstrate and encourage entrepreneurial flair to attract new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients.
  • Maximize shop floor stock levels, promoting key products, and ensuring the team does the same.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating in-store promotional events.
  • Maintain visual merchandising and housekeeping standards.
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Plan team tasks, ensuring they are achieved.
  • Understand staff scheduling, achieving appropriate coverage for the store, and stepping up to support the management team when needed.
  • Adhere to Company rules, regulations, HSE legislation, Store Security, cash handling, and key holding procedures.
  • Liaise with the Store Manager on day-to-day decisions, taking accountability for any made in their absence when necessary.
  • Reduce opportunity for stock loss by following company procedures and training the team to do the same.
  • Coordinate and participate in stock audits and counts on the shop floor and back of house.
  • Update the Store Manager on all notable decision-making.
Requirements
  • A well-rounded background in retailing premium/luxury goods (ideally apparel) and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrable experience of exceeding sales targets and increasing profitability.
  • Some experience of managing a team at a supervisory level.
  • Commercial awareness and an active interest in the luxury/premium retail market.
  • Balanced strengths in sales, customer service, and operational excellence.
  • Confidence using the Microsoft Office Suite.
