London City Lionesses is a leading sports organization dedicated to promoting women's football and empowering the next generation of girls and women. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Marketing and Commercial to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

Fanbase Growth and Engagement:

  • Develop and execute a data-driven fanbase growth strategy to achieve consistent stadium sellout.
  • Design and deploy a funnel-based marketing strategy to attract new fans, grow engagement, and drive retention.
  • Develop strategies to grow our fanbase beyond our local area, including collaborations with other Kynisca clubs to create affinity between club fanbases.
  • Deliver an exciting, innovative, and entertaining matchday experience for our fanbase.

Brand Development:

  • Develop and launch a refreshed brand for London City Lionesses, working with external agencies to build a unique and differentiated brand in London and UK women's football.
  • Oversee our media, content, communications, and PR teams to manage club media requirements, content, and social activity, and PR opportunities to grow our brand.

Data & Digital:

  • Develop our club fan data strategy, including data management and compliance.
  • Build a compliant fan data infrastructure to achieve a single view of the fan.
  • Build an actionable data and insights platform to help us understand our fans and inform commercial decision-making.
  • Develop an innovative platform strategy (web and app) and martech stack (including CRM) to enable smart marketing tactics, including automation and personalized marketing.

Commercial:

  • Drive club commercial revenue through matchday, retail, and sponsorship/partnership strategies.
  • Develop our go-to-market commercial story and approach to support sales teams (internal and external).
  • Build a club CRM and sales pipeline management system.
Requirements

Critical Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience working at a top-level sports entity, ideally with specific women's football experience and a proven track record of success.
  • A data-driven mindset and approach to marketing.
  • Brand management experience.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated solutions-focused and able to work under pressure with own initiative.
