Job Title: Specialist Community Health School Nurse

Nottingham CityCare is seeking a qualified Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (School Nurse) to join our 0-19 Public Health team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to children and families in Nottingham City.

The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of the current developments in School Nursing and a proven track record of continuous professional development and innovative practice. You will be a positive and responsive individual who is committed to reducing health inequalities and improving the health and wellbeing of children and their families.

Key responsibilities include leading on the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, managing an assigned caseload, and working in partnership with key partners to safeguard children, young people, and vulnerable adults. You will also be responsible for providing consultation to the team on identified children, young persons, or families and advising on appropriate care or referral.

Key Requirements:
  • Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (School Nurse)
  • Non-medical prescribing (V100 or V300)
  • Evidence of further professional development, including Dip Level 2 Modules in Family Planning, Teaching & Assessing, and Counselling
