HOLT ENGINEERING RECRUITMENT LIMITED is seeking a skilled Electro Plating Specialist to join our team in Poole. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing metal parts for electroplating, mixing and preparing plating solutions, operating electroplating equipment, monitoring the electroplating process, inspecting finished parts for defects, and cleaning and maintaining electroplating equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing metal parts for electroplating: This involves cleaning the parts to remove dirt, grease, and other contaminants. It may also involve degreasing the parts to remove oil and other lubricants.
  • Mixing and preparing plating solutions: The plating solutions are made up of various chemicals that are mixed together in specific proportions. The Electro Plating Specialist must carefully follow the instructions for mixing the solutions to ensure that the correct thickness and quality of plating is achieved.
  • Operating electroplating equipment: The equipment consists of a power source, a tank containing the plating solution, and electrodes. The specialist must operate the equipment to ensure that the correct current and voltage are applied to the parts being plated.
  • Monitoring the electroplating process: The Electro Plating Specialist must monitor the electroplating process to ensure that the correct thickness and quality of plating is achieved.
  • Inspecting finished parts for defects: Once the electroplating process is complete, the specialist must inspect the finished parts for defects.
  • Cleaning and maintaining electroplating equipment: The equipment must be cleaned and maintained regularly to prevent corrosion and ensure that it operates properly.
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in electroplating and hold relevant qualifications.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
  • A salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum is offered, depending on experience.
