About the Role

At TUI, we're seeking a skilled Aviation Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you'll be responsible for providing troubleshooting advice to flight crews and engineers worldwide, ensuring the timely rectification of aircraft defects in service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing troubleshooting advice to flight crews and engineers worldwide.
  • Carrying out daily calls to key line stations and 3rd party bases to discuss current aircraft defects and operational status.
  • Monitoring deferred defects and maintenance actions to prevent RIE process invocation.
  • Liaising with flight ops and base maintenance departments to ensure serviceability and readiness state of aircraft.
  • Coordinating fleet line maintenance activities worldwide through liaison with engineers, handling agents, flight crews, and operations duty manager.
  • Acting as the initial focal point for engineering issues within the TUI Group for line maintenance, directing resolution of AOG situations.
  • Liaising with Part M on technical and airworthiness queries between line stations and support departments.
  • Liaising with Boeing and component OEMs on operational technical issues when required.
  • Monitoring component removal history and invoking troubleshooting actions.
  • Using the MEL to optimize maintenance plans.
  • Supporting operations in a 'hands-on' role when needed.
  • Deputizing for the MOC Duty Manager.
