**Job Title:** Youth Pastor

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Pastor to join our team at New Wine Trust. As a key member of our church family, you will play a vital role in leading and developing our Next Gen ministries.

About the Role:

1. Lead and develop our Next Gen ministries, creating a safe and welcoming environment for children and youth to grow in their faith.
2. Spend quality time with our children and youth, building relationships and trust through regular interactions and activities.
3. Co-ordinate events and activities that promote spiritual growth, evangelism, and community engagement.
4. Support the Church Pastor with any pastoral issues involving the children, youth, and their families.
5. Represent the next generation within the wider church, advocating for their needs and concerns in decision-making situations.

Responsibilities:

1. Be responsible for safeguarding the children and youth in your care, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
2. Organise and lead a Youth Club for young people (P7 – S3), building a team of volunteers to assist and create a safe space for them to invite friends.
3. Develop and lead/co-ordinate small groups for our youth (S1 -S6) to discuss issues and challenges they face, enabling them to seek God's guidance through the Bible.
4. Facilitate evangelistic opportunities for the next generation, including Youth Alpha and other outreach initiatives.
5. Attend relevant events with the children and/or young people when possible, demonstrating a commitment to their lives and ministry.

Accountability:

This role will be overseen by the Church Pastor, who will provide guidance and support as your line manager. You will also be answerable to the Leadership Team (Directors of Clyde Valley Community Church).

Requirements:

1. Strong evangelical Christian faith, lived out in daily life.
2. Experience of working with children and/or young people, preferably in a church context.
3. Excellent communication skills, able to connect with the next generation effectively.
4. Approachable and friendly demeanor, with a strong ability to build relationships.
5. Works well within a team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment.
6. Confident and self-motivated, with a passion for ministry and serving others.
7. Experience of working/serving in a local church context, ideally with children and youth.
8. Desirable qualifications: Children or Youth Worker qualification.
9. Own means of transport, for traveling between locations.

Salary:** £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
