Job Title: Senior Controls Specialist

At Advance Automated Systems Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Controls Specialist to lead our control systems team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing controls solutions for our machines and conveyor systems.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in control system design, development, and implementation. You will work closely with our project teams to ensure that all control systems meet the specified brief, relevant standards, and regulations. Your responsibilities will include leading the design and development of controls systems, producing PLC software, HMI designs, and safety systems in accordance with company standards, as well as undertaking peer reviews of colleagues' work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of controls systems to specified brief.
  • Produce PLC software, HMI designs, and safety systems in accordance with company standards.
  • Undertake peer reviews of colleagues' work (coding, calcs, documentation, etc.).
  • Ensure design compliance with project brief, relevant standards, and regulations.
  • Carry out analysis of systems with a view to debugging, improving safety and functionality.

Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location: Based in our headquarters in [location], with regular travel to customer sites and factories.
