Specialist Learning Assistant

**Job Description Summary**
We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to join our team at Easthorpe School. The successful candidate will have a strong background in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and a range of diagnoses.
In this role, you will be responsible for mentoring and supporting one pupil or else a small group of no more than six pupils, supporting the Classroom Teacher during lessons, and building positive relationships with your pupil/s.
**Key Requirements**
- Strong basic education, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics
- Previous experience in a similar role, including experience of working with pupils with SEMH within an Educational setting
- Experienced and confident enough to take additional responsibility in an area of school
