Job Description

Job Title: Customer Sampling Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Sampling Technician to join our team at Thames Water Utilities Limited. As a Customer Sampling Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our drinking water by collecting and testing water samples from our treatment works, reservoirs, and customer properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and test water samples from various locations, including treatment works, reservoirs, and customer properties.
  • Oversee the maintenance of sampling records and equipment to industry standards.
  • Investigate supply issues and customer complaints related to water quality.
  • Work as part of a busy team across a wide geographical area, traveling extensively between customers and sites.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours roster, including weekends, on a rotating schedule.
  • Have the confidence to interact with customers and residential and commercial properties.
  • Hold a clean manual driving license.
  • Have existing knowledge or be open to learning about the water industry and processes relevant to this work area.

Requirements:

  • Competitive salary with a progression scheme.
  • Annual Leave - 24 days holiday per year increasing to 28 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays)
  • Contributory pension – Defined Contribution - Maximum of 12% -2x employee contribution.
