As a Collision Repair Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and resolving parts required for repair, reviewing repair orders, work order, and Body Shop Managers estimate notes, and following warranty guidelines.
  • Adjusting, replacing, and repairing truck and trailer equipment, including sheet metal repairs, fiberglass/panel repairs, fabrication, structural welding, installation, and alignment of truck cab body components, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
  • Road testing vehicles to ensure quality repair.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of job and technical skills, including truck manufacturer's repair process.
  • Performing work as outlined on repair estimates with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Teardown and inspecting for additional or hidden repairs.
  • Advising body shop estimator of additional damage or supplemental needs or if repairs will not be completed on time.

You will have the opportunity to lead work of any apprentice technicians and maintain ASE certifications.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Welding, suspension, framework experience (a plus) or willingness to learn/train.
  • ASE Certifications: Damage Analysis and Estimating, Mechanical and Electrical Components, Non-Structural Analysis and Damage Repair, and State Vehicle Inspector (preferred).
  • Certifications listed above or equivalent experience and eagerness to improve.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.

The estimated salary for this position is $$62,500 - $87,500 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
