We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Sales and Events Executive to join our team at DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh City. As a Sales and Events Executive, you will be responsible for handling event inquiries, assisting with sales administration, and maintaining a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Handle incoming and outgoing event inquiries for corporate events and social events.
- Assist the Sales Manager and Director of Sales with administration tasks such as proposals, event contracts, and banquet event sheets.
- Handle photocopying and distribution of correspondence to concerned departments.
- Maintain a proper filing and trace system for the department.
- Liaise with other departments for information and maintain a good understanding of clients and their needs.
- Handle all incoming telephone enquiries and provide initial suggestions on sales enquiries.
- Update the group chart and prepare relevant reports.
- Conduct site inspections if required.
- Assist in ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Sales Manager and Director of Sales.
- Strong planning skills with the ability to look ahead and put strategies in place to support the plans.
- A degree of knowledge of all market segments, including corporate and conference.
- Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision and maintain high standards and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive, creative, and passionate about sales and hunting for new business.
- Positive attitude and superb work ethic.
