Our client is an innovator in the environmental sector who are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. This is a pivotal role, supporting the maintenance function for this site providing a pro-active and reactive, multi-skilled maintenance service.

The Role of a Maintenance Supervisor

* Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will lead a small team of maintenance fitters responsible for the planned and re-active mechanical maintenance of the Recycling Processing Plant.

* As Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning the scheduling of preventative maintenance and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out.

* As our Maintenance Supervisor, you will ensure that any mechanical problems are rectified as a priority, limiting down time of the production facility.

* As our Maintenance Supervisor, you will create a strong team work ethic and will mentor and motivate others.

The Successful Maintenance Supervisor

* The successful candidate will have a relevant mechanical maintenance background, educated to minimum of HND in an engineering discipline and/or time served apprentice with a proven history of self-development post qualifying.

* The successful Maintenance Supervisor will have experience working in manufacturing, waste management or with heavy plant machinery.

* You will have previous experience of leading and managing maintenance teams.

* Previous experience of carrying out risk assessments in the workplace and documenting safe working procedures.

* A proven history of fault finding and implementation of corrective actions.

* The Successful Maintenance Manager will have good communication skills and the ability to work positively in a team environment.
