Railway Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technician to join our team at Network Rail. As a Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our rail network.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, inspect, and repair the track network to ensure safe and efficient rail operations.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, often in demanding manual work environments.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver work safely and efficiently.
- Lead the team when required, using your skills to deliver work safely and checking the team's competencies to meet our strict safety standards.
- Develop your skills and competencies relevant to your discipline, keeping up to date with new standards, procedures, and instructions.
- Leadership skills - able to lead, motivate, and direct a team for safe and efficient work delivery.
- Effective communication skills - able to deliver clear instructions to the team and other colleagues.
- Technical skills - knowledge and experience of inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal techniques in the discipline.
- Safety skills - consistently role model safe behaviors, arrange and implement safe systems of work, and challenge if you think a situation is unsafe.
- Problem-solving skills - persistent in finding safe and effective solutions.
- Willingness to learn - consistently develop your skills and competencies relevant to your discipline.
- Relevant qualification - ideally hold an NVQ Level 1 or 2 linked to the discipline or equivalent level of relevant experience.
