Railway Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technician to join our team at Network Rail. As a Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing the rail network, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of passengers and freight.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, inspect, and repair the track network, including rails, sleepers, and ballast.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, often in demanding manual roles.
- Lead and motivate a team to deliver safe and efficient work.
- Develop and maintain technical and non-technical skills through continuous learning and training.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
- Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear instructions.
- Technical skills, with knowledge and experience of inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal techniques.
- Safety-focused, with the ability to consistently role model safe behaviors.
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to find safe and effective solutions.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills and competencies relevant to the discipline.
- Relevant qualification, such as an NVQ Level 1 or 2, or equivalent experience.
