Financial Data Analyst for Special Educational Needs

Staffordshire County Council seeks a skilled Financial Data Analyst to join its dynamic Accountancy team. This permanent position will involve working on a hybrid schedule, balancing remote work with occasional office days at Staffordshire Place 1.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Accurately recording financial information related to pupils with special educational needs.
- Maintaining and enhancing financial system processes, coding hierarchies, and control arrangements to ensure accurate budget records.
- Responding to queries from schools and providers regarding funding for pupils.
- Monitoring budget records for integrity and ensuring accurate reporting of expenditures.
We are looking for an AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualified individual or someone with equivalent experience in a financial environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong numeric and literacy skills, proficiency in spreadsheet software, and the ability to retrieve and manipulate data for report production.
Salary and BenefitsThis role is compensated with an estimated annual salary of £25,000-£30,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
