About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our Gastroenterology service. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, from routine consultations to complex cases, and will be expected to maintain the highest standards of clinical governance and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of gastrointestinal disorders
- Lead a team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other support staff
- Contribute to the development of our Gastroenterology service, including service redesign and quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in clinical governance and audit activities to ensure the highest standards of patient care
- Engage in research and education activities to advance the field of Gastroenterology
- Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Higher academic qualification
- Experience in Gastroenterology, including upper and lower endoscopy
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
