Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gastroenterology Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease and liver disease.
  • Work closely with medical staff to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and procedural interventions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and investigations to diagnose and manage complex gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and support.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in Gastroenterology, with a strong background in general medicine.
  • Excellent clinical skills, with the ability to diagnose and manage complex gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including those related to patient confidentiality and data protection.
