Café Development and Social Impact Coordinator

This is an exciting time of development and change for West Cheltenham Partnership as we reopen our community café in the Hesters Way Community Resource Centre.

We are seeking a highly skilled Café Manager/Chef who can create nutritious, delicious dishes and work alongside our team to develop a vibrant and successful social space.

Our goal is to create a welcoming environment that promotes community cohesion and provides opportunities for engagement and activities. As a safe and warm space, the café will serve as a hub for the community, bringing people together and fostering a sense of belonging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To manage the day-to-day operations of the café, including food preparation, menu planning, and inventory management
  • To work closely with our team to develop a range of activities and events that promote community engagement and social interaction
  • To maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the café and kitchen areas
  • To collaborate with local suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and support local businesses

Requirements:

  • Degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in café management or a related role
  • Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of nutrition and health
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
