Job Summary

Zenith People LTD is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance, with experience working in high-volume manufacturing plants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform plant preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding, isolation, and repair of equipment.
  • Provide input into the electrical maintenance and operation of plant equipment.
  • Carry out evaluation and risk assessments to ensure safe working methods and environment.
  • Ensure plant critical spares are maintained at the required level.
  • Identify suitable external resources for routing maintenance activities or ongoing improvement projects.
  • Use SAP to raise purchase requisitions as necessary.
  • Work on plant improvement initiatives and make recommendations to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Collaborate with external engineering services as required to ensure safe and effective operation of plant equipment.
  • Undertake periodic training to ensure maintenance activities are performed in compliance with best safe working practice and current legislation.

Requirements

  1. Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  2. Previous practical experience working in high-volume manufacturing plants.
  3. Experience maintaining and fault finding on PLC control, Variable Speed Drives, Conveyor Systems, and Thermal processing equipment.
  4. Familiarity with working within a GMP facility.
  5. Excellent internal and external communication skills.
  6. Experience working an on-call maintenance system.
