Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical studies, including cardiac, pediatric, and PET/CT scans, using state-of-the-art equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake clinical work in a highly specialized area, considering the risks associated with working with ionizing radiation and infection control.
  • Assess patient referrals, manage care safely, prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, and scan patients.
  • Perform image processing and produce results to the highest technical standards.
  • Support the Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist, PET/CT Superintendent, and Lead Superintendent, and work collaboratively with other clinical colleagues to provide an efficient and effective service.
  • Work within regulatory frameworks and follow all Local Rules and Standard Operating Procedures designed to ensure a safe working environment in accordance with Health and Safety legislation and associated regulations.
Requirements:
  • HCPC registration
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Nuclear medicine experience (ideally) or radiographer science or nursing backgrounds
