Job Title: Compassionate Learning Support Assistant Required

GSL Education - Yorkshire is seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Sheffield. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting secondary students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This meaningful opportunity offers a chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people, helping them develop the skills and confidence they need to reach their full potential.

The Role:
  • Individualised Support: Provide tailored assistance to help students engage with the curriculum and develop coping strategies for emotional challenges.
  • Safe and Caring Environment: Foster a safe and caring atmosphere, offering guidance to help students build resilience, confidence, and self-esteem.
  • Team Teach Training Provided: While prior training in Team Teach is preferred, it is not essential. We offer free Team Teach training to successful candidates.

Requirements:

Experience: Experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role, particularly in secondary education.

Desirable Skills: Experience with behaviour management techniques is desirable, though Team Teach training will be provided if necessary.


Salary and Benefits:

Daily Rate: £86-£100 per day

Full-time Position: Immediate start

Professional Development: Access to professional development and specialised training, including free Team Teach training
