Job Title: Senior Authorized Person - Electrical

Hitachi Zosen Inova AG is seeking an experienced Senior Authorized Person - Electrical to join our team in Leeds, UK. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of electrical works on our Energy from Waste (EfW) projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the electrical team to ensure compliance with project Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) requirements.
  • Develop and implement electrical safety procedures and protocols to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Oversee the installation and energization of high-voltage switching equipment and low-voltage switching equipment.
  • Coordinate with the Site Manager, Commissioning Manager, and Site HSE Manager to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare and manage safety documents, including safe systems of work, switching schedules, and permit systems.
  • Deliver lessons learned and feedback for current and future projects.
  • Liaise with the District Network Operator and Independent Connection Party on all aspects of connections and switching on the network.
Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a site electrical supervisor in a construction or related field.
  • Energy from Waste experience is highly desirable.
  • Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent.
  • Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS, or CCNSG card or equivalent.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications.
  • HV operational safety training with a recognized training body.
  • Experience as a LoTo coordinator.
