Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Authorized Person (SAP) to join our team at our site in Skelton Grange, Leeds. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in leading HSEQ management teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the HSEQ team to implement and comply with project requirements
  • Ensure HSEQ requirements are incorporated into area of responsibility
  • Review risk assessments and method statements for HSEQ compliance
  • Oversee installation of HV and LV switching equipment
  • Prepare and manage safety documents for electrical activities
  • Coordinate with site management and HSE teams
  • Deliver lessons learned and feedback for current and future projects
  • Liaise with DNO and ICP on connections and switching

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience as site electrical supervisor or equivalent
  • Energy from Waste experience is highly desirable
  • Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent
  • Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalent
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications
  • HV operational safety training
  • Minimum 5 years site experience as an active Appointed Person
