HGV Class 1 Trunk Driver Job Description

24-7 Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 Trunk Drivers to join our client's distribution site in Severn Beach, Bristol.

Job Summary

This HGV Class 1 Driving position involves Trunking trailers around the country, with a mix of trailer swaps or live loads/unloads, and occasional single delivery on return to site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safe delivery/swapping of trailers at each designated location.
  • Verify that goods delivered match against delivery paperwork.
  • Collect the correct assigned trailers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Follow company procedures and accurately complete all paperwork with each shift.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Notify the Central Office of any delays as soon as possible.
Requirements
  • Hold a valid C+E License.
  • Hold a valid Tacho and CPC card.
  • No more than 6 points (excluding DD's, DR's, TT's, or IN's).
  • Minimum of 6 months commercial driving experience.
  • Assessment required prior to starting.
Pay Rates
  • Monday to Friday: £19 per hour.
  • Saturday: £22 per hour.
  • Sunday: £22 per hour.
  • Overtime after 48 hours: £22.00 per hour.

This position is commutable from Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare, Bath, Gloucester, Newport, Cardiff, and Chepstow.
