Production Assistant Job Description

Pertemps Bond is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join their team. As a Production Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production process by assisting with various tasks on the shop floor, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setup and Operation of Production Machinery: Assist with the setup and operation of production machinery and equipment, ensuring that they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Material Preparation: Prepare materials and components for production, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Quality Control: Monitor production processes, performing quality checks and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Assembly and Packaging: Support the assembly and packaging of finished products, ensuring that they meet quality standards.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, including stock counting and material replenishment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Follow standard operating procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic Understanding: Basic understanding of production machinery and tools.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
