Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of engineers and scientists working on electro-mechanical diagnostic projects.
  • Agree personal development plans, set objectives, and provide job performance feedback.
  • Ensure that the team delivers high-quality results within tight deadlines.
  • Implement techniques, methods, and processes to improve quality and delivery.
  • Review and approve technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Provide clear and positive leadership, encouraging effective team working and fostering a positive can-do attitude.
  • Support the technical development of staff through mentoring, coaching, and direct teaching.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience through a track record of success in team and project management.
  • Experience of line management of technical teams.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering field, such as mechanical engineering or precision engineering.
  • Experience of working with technical documents, manufacturing specifications, and contracts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people.
  • Experience of motivating and using resources efficiently, prioritizing and delegating with clarity.
