Role: Youth Housing Support Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and driven individual to join our team as a Youth Housing Support Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in preventing youth homelessness by providing guidance, support, and resources to young people in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with various organizations and agencies to deliver comprehensive solutions for housing and support needs.
  • Respond promptly and proactively to referrals, ensuring a welcoming and non-judgmental environment for young people.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and provide Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) to help young people access appropriate services and resources.
  • Develop strong partnerships with landlords, social housing providers, and supported accommodation providers to ensure a coordinated approach to housing support.
  • Utilize mediation and conciliation techniques to resolve housing issues and prevent homelessness.
  • Monitor case outcomes, manage your workload effectively, and evaluate each case to determine the most suitable options.
  • Prioritize the safety and well-being of young people by adhering to safeguarding protocols and reporting any concerns to relevant authorities.
  • Participate in panel meetings and case conferences to contribute to holistic support plans for young people.
  • Provide guidance and support to a diverse range of stakeholders, including social workers, youth offending teams, and healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to training initiatives and raise awareness about the importance of early intervention and integrated support services.
