Job Title: CAD Design Specialist

Globe 24-7, in partnership with an international consulting firm, is seeking an experienced CAD Design Specialist to join their team in London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize Civil 3D and other relevant CAD software to create accurate 2D drawings and 3D models for earthworks and tailings management projects.
  • Develop 3D models to represent and analyze earthworks, including site grading, drainage, and containment systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers, geologists, and environmental specialists to ensure that drawings align with project objectives and adhere to regulatory standards.
  • Review and verify the precision, completeness, and compliance of drawings with project specifications and industry regulations.
  • Update drawings and models as required in response to design changes, feedback, and project updates.
  • Organize and maintain an organized library of CAD files, project documentation, and records related to earthworks and tailings projects.
  • Provide technical support to project teams, troubleshoot CAD software issues, and assist in addressing design-related challenges.
  • Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines and deliver finalized drawings and models that meet project requirements.
Requirements:
  • A degree or diploma in drafting, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • CAD Proficiency: Expertise in using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other CAD software relevant to earthworks and tailings management projects.
  • A solid understanding of tailings management practices, including knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in tailings containment and disposal.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with civil engineering principles, including site grading, drainage, and earthworks design.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within project teams and convey technical information clearly.
  • Effective time management skills to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
