Job Summary

The CAD Design Specialist will be responsible for creating detailed drawings of delivery station layouts or delivery station concepts, including material handling equipment, work areas, modules, and operations components based on current standards and future initiatives. The CAD Design Specialist will work under the high-level project direction of a design engineer and collaborate with various stakeholder teams to create an approved delivery station design set.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with design engineers to determine requirements for delivery station layouts and translate those requirements into detailed interior CAD drawings.
Work with various stakeholder teams, including design engineers, CAD drafters, and external architects, to deliver a completed, approved design set.
Review and engage with internal and external stakeholders to permit sets, structural drawings, elevations, and floorplans.
Participate in daily peer reviews and adhere to design checklists and standards to ensure accurate, zero-defect designs.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Drafting and Design.
3+ year experience in AutoCAD within an Architecture, Design, Civil, Construction, or Architecture capacity.
Intermediate working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with 3D modelling, AutoTURN software packages, Revit, and BIM software.
Experience in designing, drafting, and implementing warehouse, distribution centre, and fulfilment centres.
Knowledge and experience with different types of material handling equipment and storage systems.
Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with business partners and key stakeholders, and the ability to work under pressure in a cross-functional organization.
