Job Title: SEMH Tutor

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced and passionate Maths and English Tutor to join our team. As a SEMH Tutor, you will be responsible for creating, planning, and delivering 1:1 tailored lessons to support and re-engage pupils in their learning. Your primary goal will be to provide structure and aid their return to education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans to meet the needs of each pupil.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences that promote academic progress and personal growth.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to pupil support.
Requirements:
  • Relevant teaching or tutoring experience, preferably in a SEMH setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths and English, with the ability to adapt to individual pupil needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of the pupils and the organization.
