We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced physicist to join our Radiology Physics team as a Deputy Head of Performance. This exciting opportunity will see you lead the development of radiation protection and quality assurance protocols for radiography services, ensuring compliance with ionising radiations legislation.

Job Description
  • Assess and evaluate the performance of radiological imaging equipment, including CT scanners, to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge and experience of radiation protection across radiology, including QC and optimisation techniques.
  • Participate in utilising the Dorset dose management system (DMS) to analyse radiation doses from routine clinical radiology and take a lead in appropriate optimisation work through multi-disciplinary teams.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' post-registration experience in medical physics, with a strong focus on leadership and supervision.
  • Evidence of experience in using dose management software to compile DRLs and drive optimisation projects.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and access to our comprehensive wellbeing program.
