Job Opportunity: Activity Engagement Specialist at Cathay Care Home

Our care home, located in the beautiful countryside of Moray, offers Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 41 residents. We're looking for a dedicated individual who can bring joy and stimulation to our residents' lives.

We require someone with a genuine passion for working with the elderly, who is sociable, creative, and well-organised. Experience in a care home setting is not essential, but you must be able to build rapport with our residents and cater to their individual preferences and care needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and organising monthly activity programmes, fostering social connections among residents, and maintaining accurate records of daily activities.

You will also have the opportunity to develop your event planning skills, working creatively to design engaging events and activities that cater to all resident preferences.

A key aspect of this role is working collaboratively as part of our team, providing exceptional care and support to our residents. If you're passionate about making a real difference in people's lives, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and Organise: Create and manage monthly rolling programmes as well as individual activities, encouraging residents to stay active and maintain their hobbies.
  • Foster Social Connections: Help residents socialize and enjoy their time in the care home through diverse activities that cater to all preferences.
  • Keep Accurate Records: Maintain detailed documentation of daily activities.
Requirements:
  • Event Planning Skills: Proven ability to develop and organise a range of engaging events and activities.
  • Creativity and Confidence: A friendly, creative, and confident personality that shines through in your work.
  • Passion for Elderly Care: A genuine interest in working with the elderly, helping them live life to the fullest.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
