We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Recovery Nurse to join our team at a leading healthcare provider in London. As a Recovery Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth recovery of patients from anaesthesia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients' vital signs and manage any post-operative complications
- Assess and manage patients' pain levels through medication administration and non-pharmacological interventions
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients post-surgery to identify any signs of complications or adverse reactions to anaesthesia
- Monitor patients' fluid balance to ensure proper hydration and prevent complications
- Assess surgical incisions for signs of infection or other complications and provide appropriate wound care
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in perioperative or critical care nursing
- Experience in post-anaesthesia care is highly beneficial
- Proficiency in basic life supports (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) is essential
- Able to quickly assess patients' conditions and identify potential complications
- Ability to closely monitor patients' vital signs and detect subtle changes in their condition
- Effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals is essential
What We Offer:
- An excellent salary of £36,000 - £40,000 per annum
- A permanent full-time role with 37.5 hours per week, working through day shifts from Monday to Friday with one Saturday a month
