Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Smurfit Westrock. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for safely executing planned, preventative, and reactive engineering tasks in a timely manner. This will involve ensuring compliance with all legal and local policies and guidelines related to engineering and maintenance, as well as working proactively to maximize machine efficiency and reduce downtime.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Execute planned, preventative, and reactive engineering tasks in a safe and timely manner.
  2. Ensure compliance with all legal and local policies and guidelines related to engineering and maintenance.
  3. Work proactively with the engineering team to maximize machine efficiency and reduce downtime.
  4. Maintain good housekeeping standards and a clean as you go policy.
  5. Set and calibrate machine tooling ready for production in a safe and timely manner.
  6. Be the first point of contact for all machinery breakdowns on your assigned shift.
  7. Support the engineering management in building an engineering team and related processes fit for future challenges.
  8. Experience of electrical fault finding in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
  1. Suitable electrical qualifications.
  2. Experience of operating in a commercial/industrial environment.
Person Specification
  1. Time served Electrician with the ability to read Electrical Schematics and Specifications.
  2. Electrical experience gained in an Industrial environment.
  3. Level 3 BTEC or Diploma or equivalent qualifications.
