About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our portfolio company's logistics foundations and scale its technology as the organisation grows.

In this role, you'll focus on ensuring clients receive exceptional experiences and contribute to various growth projects.

As a key member of our team, you'll partner closely with leaders across the business, not just in technology.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead our portfolio's engineering efforts across routing, operational efficiency, core services, and API.
  • Scale the logistics foundations in tandem with business growth, starting from a single team and evolving into an organisation of teams.
  • Take cross-functional ownership of critical business outcomes, such as company-wide efficiency metrics.
  • Guide critical decisions affecting the company's technical infrastructure.
  • Foster a culture of technical and operational excellence.

Your Profile

  • A history of achievement in recruiting, retaining, and developing engineers of exceptional ability, within high-performing organisations (minimum 3 years).
  • Pride in the technology delivered by the team(s) you've led and the tangible impact it has had on your business and its users.
  • Enjoyment in the transition to management, while remaining deeply passionate about (and skilled at) building technology.
  • Curiosity for all aspects of our Venture's business, and excitement to work together with leaders across operations, finance, and commercial functions.
  • Deep empathy for the humans you build technology for, including customers, partners, and your fellow colleagues.
