Job Title: Men's Pathway Physical Performance Coach

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Performance Coach to join our team at the Football Association. As a key member of our Pathway Physical Performance team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical performance support to our England youth teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement physical performance strategies for the England youth pathway, working closely with the Lead PPC and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Deliver physical performance coaching to one of our England youth teams, including team and individual pitch-based warm-ups, strength and conditioning, individual rehab/conditioning, and recovery sessions.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of projects aimed at supporting winning England teams, including the delivery of FA PPMN CPD/training days throughout the year.
  • Work closely with the MDT and coaching staff to ensure optimal management of player health and fitness throughout camps.
  • Support the performance medicine team in their delivery of the PPMN curriculum when required.
Requirements:
  • Excellent coaching skills and extensive experience as a team PPC in elite sport.
  • Extensive experience within Professional Football Academy settings.
  • Track record of successfully integrating into established and developing medical and performance teams.
  • Strategic & operational leadership within a physical performance department (accountable for the PPC provision within a department, or team).
  • An understanding of the physical performance needs of high-performance athletes/players.
  • Relevant physical performance accreditation (BASES/NSCA/UKSCA/ASCA).
  • Under-graduate qualifications in sports performance-related fields.
