Strolll are seeking a senior quality assurance engineer to help achieve our goal of making our Reality DTx® Augmented Reality (AR) digital rehabilitation product the most used rehabilitation software in the world. Strolll is transforming the world of rehabilitation and physiotherapy with its state-of-the-art software with a focus on individuals living with neurological disorders, such as Parkinson's disease.

As the 2 nd QA to join our organisation, you will need to take ownership in all phases in the STLC across the three distinct components that make up our Reality DTx® solution; the client application running on wearable Augmented Reality (AR) glasses, the web portal and the API glue that sits between them. You will be expected to assist the QA Lead develop the existing strategy by recommending and driving improvements that relate to how QA is practised.

You will work closely with the engineers, product team & regulatory manager, being an integral member of a team dedicated to delivering a reliable, dependable tool that physiotherapists trust and rely on to make a difference in their patients' lives every day.

Given that our AR solution is used in a physical space, and therefore requires a controlled physical environment for testing, the role will be hybrid. A portion of your time will be spent working onsite in our dedicated test space, with the remainder from home. You will need to be able travel to the company HQ in Stafford, West Midlands approximately 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Quality: You will be responsible for certifying that QA conducted against our solution is completed to the highest possible standard, guaranteeing that the solution we offer operates at the optimum level.

  • Build Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites to streamline the testing process and ensure consistent and efficient testing perpetually occurs across software releases.

  • Defect Management: Identify, track, and manage software defects using issue tracking systems, collaborating closely with the development team to replicate, investigate and ensure timely resolution of reported issues.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers, to gather requirements, provide feedback, and promote a culture of quality throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and results, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the software's behaviour and performance.

  • Adherence to quality standards: Ensure that quality assurance adheres to quality standards and certifications such as the ISO 13485 to ensure we maintain compliance.

  • Improve Quality Assurance: Strive to continuously enhance and automate all activities under the domain of QA to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the discipline.

  • Performance Analysis: Strolll is undergoing rapid growth, you will be responsible for assisting the teams performance test approach, analysis to identify issues and address potential bottlenecks, ensuring the software's optimal performance under varying conditions.

Must Have Requirements

  • Knowledge of OOP concepts and strong programming skills (C# desirable).
  • Solid experience working with frameworks, tools, libraries & design patterns that relate to test automation (e.g. NUnit, Selenium & POM)
  • Solid background practising QA with web/mobile applications, APIs, and backend services.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • In depth knowledge of using Test Management systems such as ‘Xray’ and understanding of modular test case design.
  • Adept using application monitoring and error tracking tools such as Sentry.
  • Able to work with databases such as Microsoft Azure SQL, proficient at using SQL for querying and verifying data.
  • Experience working in teams that have practised Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.

Desirable Requirements

  • Prior experience of QA that relates to AR or VR applications where the physical environment is an integral part of the verification/validation process.
  • Familiarity practising QA in adherence to quality standards and certifications (such as the ISO 13485).
  • Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as 'Git'.
  • Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter.
  • Ability to understand & report meaningful QA metrics using power BI or similar tool.

Salary Range

£45K/yr - £55K/yr

Holiday entitlement:

  • 25 Bookable annual leave days per year.
  • Those 25 days do not include Bank Holidays.
  • Strolll will close for a period of time over Christmas, this is additional to the 25 bookable days.
