About the Role

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our Integrated Care Team. As a Senior Clinician, you will play a key role in providing clinical leadership and expertise to our Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical advice, training, and supervision to junior staff to ensure the effective delivery of care and smooth running of our triage service.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide intensive home treatment and support to patients with mental health crises.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external professionals, service users, and their families to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Manage a team of staff and students, providing annual appraisals, PDPs, and supporting their development and career aspirations.
  • Ensure services are delivered in a manner that is respectful, appropriate, and relevant to all community members, recognizing diversity and individual needs.
Requirements
  • Degree in health/social care or equivalent qualification/experience with professional registration.
  • Experience of clinically supervising junior and unqualified staff and mentoring students.
  • Experience of working effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and multi-agency environment.
  • Experience working in a busy mental health crisis triage setting or similar.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the health and social care systems and operating frameworks, clinical observations, and the Mental Health Act.
  • Effective and competent interpersonal, influencing, communication, observation, and reporting skills.
