Senior Leadership Role: Head of Infrastructure & Networks

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our IT Operations teams and drive the efficient operation of our Data Centres, Networks, Platforms, and backend technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the Infrastructure and Networks team.
  • Provide a single point of contact for incident resolution and service requests, ensuring continual monitoring of live systems and efficient ticket processing.
  • Work with IT Service and other technical teams to deliver end-to-end support and resolution for all Infrastructure Operations-related incidents.
  • Lead initiatives to ensure the security and effectiveness of networks, platforms, storage, virtual environments, and Infrastructure-as-a-Service platforms.
  • Regularly review and improve IT processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement proactive tasks to prevent future issues, including software patching, performance tuning, and server housekeeping.
  • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analysis for proposed projects and high-expenditure items.
  • Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations and lead IT operational planning.
  • Build long-term partnerships with key vendors and manage the deployment, monitoring, and support of all core IS systems.
  • Manage and develop the IT operations team, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
Requirements:
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders to ensure IT services meet their needs.
  • Expert knowledge of IT operations, data centre operations, enterprise IT environments, cloud computing, and data/voice networks.
  • Strong understanding of IT contracts, negotiation, and budget management.
  • Strong people management, mentoring, and coaching abilities with a collaborative management style.
