Electrical Engineering Specialist - Power Systems

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Specialist to join our team in Bristol, Manchester, or Barrow in Furness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and power systems, with experience in compatibility testing and power system analysis.

  1. As part of the Electrical Verification Team, you will be responsible for verifying and validating the power system through compatibility testing of equipment and power system analysis.
  2. You will assist the team in setup, execution, and analysis of test results, providing technical guidance to ensure testing is carried out in accordance with requirements.
  3. You will also assist the team with solving technical issues and queries across multiple stakeholders, collaborating with multi-discipline teams, suppliers, and stakeholders on matters related to the compatibility test facility.

The successful candidate will have a degree qualification or equivalent experience in electrical or power engineering, with knowledge of high power and medium voltage power systems and distributions. Knowledge of compatibility testing of electrical equipment and power electronics is also essential.

We offer a competitive salary of up to £48,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as flexible working patterns, including working from home and flexible start and finish times. You will also receive 25 holiday days plus bank holidays, rising to 26 days after five years' service and 27 days after ten years' service.
