About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our price reporting and index development activities in the Coal and Metals team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the compilation of daily benchmark coal indexes and market reports, working closely with a team of market reporters and editors to ensure compliance with our methodology and Price Reporting Manual.

About the Team:

Our Coal and Metals team is part of OPIS, a leading provider of price transparency across the energy, chemicals, and renewables markets. We enable customers to buy and sell energy commodities with confidence, improve operational efficiency with deep insights, and provide price discovery and consultation from a celebrated team of subject matter experts.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage the compilation of daily benchmark coal indexes and market reports, working with a team of market reporters and editors.
  • Develop existing and new price indexes in adjacent markets, such as freight, Iron Ore, LNG, Green Steel, and Energy Transition minerals, through liaising with industry partners on index performance, methodology, and new indexes ideas.
  • Manage McCloskey consultation efforts and methodology updates, according to the compliance manual, and coordinate with the compliance team on annual price reporting audits.
