About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to take on the role of Registered Nursing Home Manager in our reputable healthcare facility at Newlands House.
About the Service:
Newlands House is a home for 37 people with physical disabilities and is rated "Good" by CQC.
About the Team:
We are amongst the highest rated providers of care and supported living services in the UK, with 84% of our services rated 'good' or 'outstanding' by regulators.
About the Job:
As a Service Manager with Leonard Cheshire, you will provide clear direction, management and supervision of a great staff team. Leading with passion and enthusiasm to ensure your service is well run, you will promote positive outcomes for disabled people with a flexible and proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical nursing experience and leadership to the team.
- Ensure the service is fully compliant regarding health and safety management and statutory obligations.
- Work within budgetary requirements and operate a financially sound service.
- Handle recruitment, on-going training, development and performance needs of staff.
- Hold registration for the service.
Requirements:
- A recognised nursing or social care qualification and registration.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or equivalent as required for registration.
- Substantial experience in managing care teams or supervisory/management experience in a care environment.
- Strong people and communication skills with excellent customer service.
- Thorough understanding of financial data and ability to manage budgets.
- Experience of a range of different departments is advantageous.
- Valid NMC PIN (Nursing Pin).
